Salute Madiba's 21 years of freedom
As 2011 marks 21 years since Mandela walked out of Victor Verster Prison, the messages should explain how he and the past 21 years, have impacted on their lives and those closest to them.
"Our Premier First Experience is a unique approach to acknowledging the importance of our clients," notes Lezanne Human, CEO of Premier Banking from FNB. "This initiative has been designed to thank existing clients through a series of events and initiatives, where they can network with like-minded individuals and encounter a variety of experiences."
This year's experience will take place at The Killarney Country Club, Gauteng, where Mandela, as a free man exercised his democratic right to vote. Even though he will not be able to attend, clients, together with 20 other South African icons, will be able to pay tribute to this great man.

In addition to Madiba's tribute, the bank invites South Africa to join the premier conversation of who they believe are South Africa's greatest icons, an interesting debate that will go behind the thinking of the public and a provide a platform to honour these greats.
Writers of the top four tributes will be included in the artwork, being custom made for the Nelson Mandela Foundation, included in a special limited edition commemorative coffee table book and attend the special tribute event with partners.
To send a contribution, SMS 43124 (standard VAS rates apply), email az.oc.bnf@stsrifreimerP or use the hashtag #TributeToMandela when tweeting.
"We are inspired by many of South Africa's living icons and would like to inspire our clients, the emerging leaders and icons of tomorrow through this type of experience," concludes Human.
