NEWSWATCH: Mail & Guardian, under fire for publishing a controversial Zapiro cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad bemoaning the lack of a sense of humour on the part of Muslims, says they will not apologise, reports IOL, which also reports a French journalist who was arrested at a Durban roadblock for allegedly being drunk had to spend extra time in jail as no interpreter could be found when he appeared in court.

IOL: No apology from M&G... The cartoon has stirred up a huge debate, with Muslims on one side demanding an apology, and many non-Muslims on the other supporting the newspaper's stand - and in some cases, supporting the Muslim argument.
