SABC2 picks a life of leisure!
"The reason it works especially well is the outstanding value it offers," said Dalton Cronje, marketing and sponsorship manager. "Brands and events, Agencies and PR companies are now able to use below-the-line budget wisely and innovatively, offering their clients national television production and exposure at extremely competitive rates.
"In addition, exposure on our website, www.weekendlife.co.za, with click-through to our clients' sites, offers an interactive and additional platform for extending their campaigns", said Dalton. A number of slots have been sponsored, however there is still opportunity for advertisers and events wanting coverage to get in on the action and be part of this great new concept. The fact that the SABC has indicated that they will be re-broadcasting the show on SABC Africa, also offers advertisers even more exceptional exposure at an extremely competitive rate."
The competition call-in line and SMS lines offer measurability, data collection, as well as the opportunity to use the filmed footage for further promotional activity.
In addition, opportunities are offered to companies to gain exposure via the show's credits and their website for prize give-aways via the call-in lines, the SMS platform and website at the cost of a product give-away.
Cherry Creek Software, the company that developed the call-in and SMS lines as well as the website, has reported that after the launch episode, that the call-in and SMS volumes were high.
"We are very pleased with the number of hits on the website this far and the volumes of the calls and sms's, especially after only one episode," said Jan Louw, director at Cherry Creek. "We look forward to building the numbers with more competitions and web content related to the show."
This jam-packed 30-minute show will focus on weekend activities and interests with loads of prizes to be won for the next 6 months.
