Outdoor media company ADreach are nonetheless surprised by the speedy take-up of the offering. Since completion of development and successful implementation of the pilot phase in April this year, the number of Illuminated Mini Billboards on-street in Gauteng already more than doubles those of the Non-illuminated Billboards.
With outdoor media claiming 4.3% of total advertising spend in South Africa as at end January 2005, ADreach is driving development on alternatives that will increase their market share in the highly lucrative and rapidly growing outdoor media market in SA.
Chief executive officer for ADreach, Brent Herbert, says: "We have increased the usage by more than 30% compared to the same period in 2004. Projections for June 2005 indicate that we can expect the highest usage for any month historically since the inception of ADreach."
