Well, given the levels of corruption and mismanagement in state bodies it's not surprising that many South Africans reckon that the proposed POIB's real purpose is to cover the tracks of the corrupt and the incompetent.So it's therefore no surprise that the Ipsos "Pulse of the People" poll, conducted between April and May this year, found that some 44% of South Africans reckon the proposed bill will limit media freedom.
