Your Family Magazine hits fabulous forties
Your Family magazine, which was a trailblazer when it launched as the first magazine to be sold in a supermarket, celebrates 40 years of bringing homegrown content with a bumper collector's issue in November 2013.
The cover stars Vanessa Carreira-Coutroulis, who talks about her experience as a mom to triplets and a toddler.
"The global recession and worldwide recycling drive has made 'homemade' a trend again and the erosion of the family unit has also brought 21st century parenting into sharper focus. We see this repeatedly when first-time readers get in touch to say that they are new devotees. They find huge value in the recipe and health sections, and are even taking up new crafts. That's how we know the magazine still hits the spot," says editor, Janine Collins.
The magazine has stayed in tune with the contemporary family and has updated some of its most requested makes and bakes in this issue. "We've introduced the magazine to a new generation and republished some of our most requested recipes, making this a collector's issue. Our readers cherish the magazine and many get in touch to say they have every issue since 1973 and they're now having space problems!"
