Observer positions itself as a team of global market research professionals who are experts in the areas of survey management, data collection and data delivery. It provides clients with fast, cost-effective access to high-quality data collection and delivery services.

As Margie Teixeira, business unit director of Observer says, "As market research professionals, we work with our clients to determine the best solution for their business issue - we work with them to determine the best methodology, always keeping in mind their price/value thresholds. We help them create and execute their survey with quick turnaround and best-in-class data mapping and tabular results. With our global footprint and global fielding capabilities, we can collect data almost anywhere in the world."

"As part of Ipsos, we have offices in 65 countries and have executed research in more than 75 countries over the past year," Teixeira adds. This service will be available in South Africa.

This division of also conducts projects on behalf of clients who only require data as a deliverable, and consists of specialist and experienced researchers, who are skilled at managing multi-country studies, as well as domestic data-deliverable projects.

Its clients are typically either those who are research sophisticates and have the means to analyse data in-house without the need for specialist researchers to be involved, or those who have limited budgets but still require field and tab-style research to help them make better business decisions.
