"Our involvement in this initiative will result in many community centres and schools in underdeveloped areas acquiring fruit trees and being taught the skills to maintain them. Having a sustainable impact such as this is important to us," said Jerome Kourie of Andiccio24.

First to receive trees through this project was Orefile Primary School in Olievenhoutbosch. Speaking at the planting ceremony, Clever Shikwambane, principal of the school, reiterated how much it means to them. "Not only does the addition of trees result in a more aesthetically pleasing environment for our children, teaching them lessons regarding nature and the production of food is key. We are grateful to Andiccio24 and FTFA for considering us as recipients."

Jeunesse Park, founder of FTFA, said they are impressed with the passion and proactive climate change response of the Andiccio24 team and hope that others will follow their lead. "In this way we can develop healthier people on a healthier planet."

Andiccio24 is currently going through the process of calculating the carbon emissions from all stores and their central kitchen. "Our commitment to nature runs deep. We're doing whatever we can to offset our carbon emissions and ensure any negative impact on the environment is minimised," Kourie added.
