    Up The Creek gears up

One river, three stages, more than 30 live music and comedy acts and 2000 festival goers with a passion for some of South Africa's best music in common - get yourself ready for Up the Creek 2010.
    Up The Creek gears up

From 5 - 7 February, Creekers can look forward to performances by a selection of some of the best in the entertainment industry: The Dirty Skirts, Taxi Violence, The Rudimentals, Bed on Bricks, Flat Stanley, Dan Patlansky, Ashtray Electric, The Pretty Blue Guns, Dave Ferguson, The Black Cat Bones, Andra, Ryno Velvet, the Boulevard Blues Band, Akkedis, Van Coke Kartel (acoustic), Hot Water, The GODS, Willim Welsyn en die Sunrise Toffies and many more will be joined on stage with a selection of some seriously funny comedians, like Corné and Twakkie, Martin Evans and Dave Levinson.

Check out www.upthecreek.co.za for the complete line-up, competitions and more news.

In typical Up the Creek tradition we will be running the main stage, the river stage and the all-night-long Die Burger Bar Stage once again.

For the die-hard Creekers, we are putting on a show at Die Burger Bar Stage onThursday night 4 February. You can claim the best camping spot and enjoy an extra night at Up the Creek with performances from Dave Ferguson, The Black Cat Bones, Akkedis and No One's Arc. Tickets for this package are limited, pre bookings essential.

In 2010, we will bring you the same of what worked last year and more: More food vendors to get you through the days in style, including coffee maestros that can deliver your caffeine to your tent-step, more stalls and more bars throughout the festival. Once again, there will be an area with committed staff to look after the kiddies, as well as dedicated life-guards to look after the young at heart at the river.

Book a luxury or pre-pitched tent: We are also revamping the bathroom facilities and have already started watering the campsite for a nice green touch. But if this still does not get you excited about the idea of pitching a tent, simply pitch up, and rent one of our pre-pitched tents. More info about options and prices are on the website.

Bus ride to Up the Creek: We know that the Breederiver is a long way to travel for some of you. This year we offer a special bus service to Up the Creek and back. The bus will depart from Cape Town and arrive at Up the Creek on the Friday afternoon at about 16h30. It will leave Up the Creek again on the Sunday afternoon at 15h00, giving you enough time to still chill out and catch all the amazing bands on the Sunday.

Return transport from Cape Town to Swellendam costs R240-00 per person. (Festival ticket not included.)
If you want to book for bus, please email your Full Name and contact details to Kim at info@upthecreek.co.za or phone us on 021 510 0547.
