Adobe paint South African children's future

During a visit to South Africa of Greg Rewis, Terry White and Jason Levine, showcasing Adobe's Creative Suite 5, the 600 attendees at the function made donations to Adobe SA's 'Paint the Future' CSI initiative. Wayne Gibson from Data Toolbox, a South African company partner, donated R10 000 towards this initiative. Adobe distributed 20 paint sets to pre-primary schoolchildren on the day.

"With everyone's generosity, we managed to raise R36 000 in one day. With this money, we plan to donate and distribute over 700 painting sets to underprivileged children throughout Gauteng in order to stimulate creativity in their young minds," says Leonard Rabotapi, marketing and PR manager at Adobe Systems Africa.

The company is inviting non-profit organisations working with under-privileged children between the ages of three and seven to make formal requests for paint sets. Interested parties should contact Natasha Thornton on tel +27 (0) 11 575 0008 or e-mail moc.eboda@azegagne to make a formal request for assistance. Companies interested in supporting the Paint the Future initiative can also contact the company to make their contribution towards this initiative.
