Cross-media solutions, tech know-how

DARMSTADT, GERMANY: Ifra, in cooperation with the Russian Guild of Press Publishers (GIPP), is organising the first IfraForum that will be held in connection with the Publishing Expo, 18 – 20 June 2007, in the Moscow World Trade Center. The aim of the IfraForum is to provide a platform for mutual exchanges between newspaper and magazine publishers and suppliers to the industry.

It consists of special conference contributions tailored by Ifra to the Russian market on topics such as newsroom/Newsplex, distribution/circulation and printing technology. There will also be exhibition stands showing the latest developments in technology.

The events programme is split into a main conference and an IfraForum:

Main conference

18 June: 2.30pm

“Multimedia: A necessity in today's competitive media market”.

  • An insight into today's media landscape and how publishers can stay ahead through adopting a multimedia approach.

    19 June: 2pm

    “Convergence in Practice: The Daily Telegraph”.
    A concrete case study looking at how a convergence strategy was implemented, and what structural and cultural changes this implied.

    “The business of newspaper printing”.
