A smash hit in the US, the kids show has already won its first award for Best Television Production at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. This 11-minute comedy-animation programme uses a unique combination of 2D and 3D animation with live-action backgrounds and airs in 166 countries.
DEKAT-TV, a lifestyle magazine programme, will give viewers the opportunity to discover a world of arts, culture and entertainment. The same team that is responsible for the quality content of the magazine will present and produce the show. The inserts are based on articles researched, written and photographed by the magazine's own journalists.

"It promises to be unpredictable, striking and original, in sync with its culture, exceptional stories presented from an unusual and fresh perspective. At the same time, the programme will also give an exciting new face and format to art, movies, entrepreneurs, travel, cars, food, issues of the day and lifestyle matters," says publisher Elzilda Becker, also executive producer of DEKAT-TV.
Presenters include the magazine's well-known journalists and contributors such as Johrné van Huyssteen, Georg Knoke, Schalk Schoombie, Gerard Scholtz, Melanie Tait, Pieter Mathews, Cecile Loedolff and Marliza van den Berg. Seasoned scriptwriter and novelist Leon van Nierop will present movie inserts. Melanie Tait, end editor of the magazine, is online producer.
