Mail & Guardian: MPs adopt Protection of State Information Bill report... Just as we all expected, the committee tasked with assessing the report on the Protection of State Information Bill has adopted it.
Opposition MPs on the committee still say they are opposed to the bill, however, which looks set to be debated by the National Assembly tomorrow.
BD Live: The quiet reporter who helped change the course of South African history... Allister Sparks pays tribute to renowned journalist Mervyn Rees, who passed away last week aged 70 - and is credited with an achievement in investigative journalism that many critics believe the controversial POIB is designed to eliminate.
