Yoga Zone turns eight

Yoga Zone, the Cape Town hot yoga studio, is celebrating eight years of committed and experienced yoga teaching in The Mother City. More than 12 000 students have practised yoga since it opened in 2002 and Yoga Zone still offers invigorating hot yoga classes geared to optimise your health and wellbeing.
Yoga Zone turns eight

Fulvio Grandin owner of, and teacher at, Yoga Zone takes pride in providing an inner-city haven for Capetonians, allowing people to slip away from the intense hustle and bustle of the city. "At Yoga Zone we believe in our passion, purpose and principles; we're the most comprehensive hot yoga studio and were the first to introduce and develop hot yoga styles in SA. We teach with compassion, knowledge and a wealth of collective experience. We support you at your own pace for your own body, because everybody's journey is unique," Grandin said.

Three styles

Yoga Zone offer three distinct yoga styles including Bikram Yoga - the original Hot Yoga, Bikram Express - a bite-sized Bikram class, Vinyasa Yoga (Power Yoga) - contemporary yoga for the modern lifestyle and
Ashtanga Yoga - traditional and well-known. Adhering to the philosophy "One day, one breath, one class at a time", Grandin and his qualified team specialise in giving classes that both nurture beginners in a friendly, non-competitive environment and challenge more practised students.

Hot yoga styles are proven to relieve stress, improve sleep, boost energy levels, enhance muscle tone and establish a healthy body weight, but most significant is the notable and addictive "feel good factor" one experiences. The studio is modern and spacious with beautiful wooden floors, a sophisticated heating and airflow system and is equipped with changing rooms and showers to make yoga an easy interlude to your day - morning, afternoon, evening or weekend.

A continuous journey

"Yoga is a continuous journey for me and embodies what inspires me most in life: giving us a tangible connection between healthy body and clear mind. Yoga is challenging, and integrating its practice into our lifestyles is rewarding beyond measure - we become our best selves," commented Grandin.

Yoga Zone is celebrating its eighth birthday by offering membership specials as well as free beginner Vinyasa classes on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm. No need to book just turn up. (10th floor Picbel Parkade, 58 Strand Street, Cape Town, +27 (0)21 421 8136).
