Motorola Invests R1 Million into South Africa

Motorola has announced a R1 Million investment in South African education. Motorola Southern Africa's investment marks the start of its pro-active Corporate Social Investment (CSI) campaign into the local market.

"Motorola is optimistic about South Africa and is focused on getting behind the future leaders of this country through educational empowerment," says Stephen Nolan, Country Manager, Motorola Sub-Saharan Africa.

Nolan continues, "South Africa urgently needs to focus on bridging the education divide. We have very bright individuals in this country just waiting for opportunities to develop skills that will make them world class 'players'."

The investment is allocated across six different projects, each aimed at either education or the development of women in the work place. "The projects were carefully selected by the Motorola Foundation and all evaluated with a very specific goal in mind - empowering South African's," says Nolan.
