    Popcorn goes large at the movies

    Cinema advertising company Popcorn, launched last month to handle advertising sales for Nu Metro Theatres nationwide, has signed up several leading independent theatres. The firm now represents almost 40% of South African cinemas.

    According to Karen Bailey of Cinevation, the company contracted to handle Popcorn's advertising sales, "It is very encouraging to see the cinema industry demonstrating such confidence and support for a brand new player in the market. By combining these independent theatres with Nu Metro's inventory, Popcorn now reaches critical mass in cinema and will definitely add value to any cinema media schedule."
