Jet, set, go for bursary info

Jet Club has researched and designed a 16-page special supplement focusing on providing South African school leavers with comprehensive bursary information, to appear in the April 2006 issue of the Jet Club.

Comments Cameron Burt, marketing manager, Jet, "Education - improving access and standards - is one of the company's key investment areas. The new Jet Club magazine supplement contains information that will help deserving candidates find out which corporates and education institutes offer bursaries, how to go about applying and how to achieve ultimate success.

"There are an ever increasing number of bursary schemes on offer in South Africa; however, more often than not the people, who should be benefiting from financial support, have very little understanding of what is available and how to access them."

The editorial covers the different kinds of financial aid options available, how to go about selecting a suitable course, practical tips for applying for aid and for acing the interview, and finally provides guidelines to ensuring that the successful applicant fulfils their side of the deal. There is also a detailed listing of contact details.

The supplement has been paid for in full by Jet Club and will carry no advertising. The Jet Club magazine goes to over 2.3-million readers.

Burt explains, "Investing in tertiary education will remain a consistent feature of the Jet social responsibility programme, which in addition to offering two Intec bursaries every month now includes the R1.5 million Jet University of Pretoria Bursary programme. We believe that communicating and supporting our customers through tightly targeted social responsibility exercises have been key in developing remarkable relationships and retaining loyal customers."
