2010 SAPOA Property Journalist Awards winners

The annual SAPOA Property Journalist Awards, sponsored by Hermans & Roman Property Solutions, help encourage and improve the quality of property journalism. These were announced during the SAPOA convention at Sun City, Johannesburg, which ran from 12 May 2010 until today, 14 May.

Property News Journalist of the Year - Elma Kloppers, specialist property writer for a number of publications, including Sake24 in Beeld, Die Burger, Volksblad and Rapport
Property Feature Journalist of the Year - Karen Eicker, features writer for Urban Green File
Best Property Publication of the Year - Walls & Roofs, a property magazine published by Media in Africa

Across the various award categories, a number of journalists received special mention. These include Thabang Mokopanele (Business Day), Ian Fife (Financial Mail), Joan Muller (Finweek), Monique Terrazas (Real Estate Investor magazine) and Bernadette Cook for her Carte Blanche story on Green Building in SA. In addition, two publications - Shopping SA and Urban Green File - also received special commendation.
