Loeries deadline extended

Just when you thought you wouldn’t make the cut, you have won a deadline reprieve. The Loerie Awards 2007 entry deadline has been extended until 30 May 2007, giving everyone a few extra days to submit your work. So take a quick breather, have another cup of coffee and get your entry in.

Entry forms can be submitted online at www.theloerieawards.co.za and all physical pieces have to be received by The Loerie Awards by close of business on 30 May. Absolutely no entries will be accepted after this date.

Visit The Loerie Awards online for all information regarding entry categories, criteria and preparation guidelines. And remember – entries from the whole of Africa and the Middle East are eligible.

The Loerie is the South African industry’s highest accolade and all aspects of brand communication, from architecture to Z-folds, are judged according to five criteria: concept, execution, relevance to the brand, target audience and chosen media. A Loerie is awarded to work that excels in all criteria – work that is judged to be effective communication by the jury – and representing creative excellence.

Judging takes place at the SABC in Auckland Park, 2 – 6 July, and all winners will be announced at The Loerie Awards Festival Weekend in Margate, KwaZulu-Natal, 28 – 29 July. If you haven’t booked your seats for this event, make sure you get yours now while you still can (gallery seats sold out). All booking information is available at www.theloerieawards.co.za/festival.
