Sponsors add sparkle to Diamond Indaba

The first South Africa Diamond Indaba, hosted by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Mosebenzi Joseph Zwane (MP) together with the State Diamond Trader (SDT) at the Sandton Convention Centre on 27 October, has seen industry come on board in support efforts to promote beneficiation in the industry.

Under the theme 'Enabling South Africa to become the heartbeat of diamond beneficiation in Africa', the conference will address job creation and skills development in the beneficiation segment of the diamond industry. In the case of rough diamonds, beneficiation entails the cutting and polishing of the stone into saleable gemstones for incorporation into jewellery or for investment purposes.
