Technology of treats joins Sweets Middle East
Sweets Middle East was very successful last year, show-casing a wide range of products, with 160 exhibitors from 32 countries and promises to be as prosperous, if not more so, with the addition of Sweets & SnackTec Middle East. Exhibitors were impressed and reported good post-show business, establishing the event as a gateway for companies to reach customers in the United Arab Emirates.
The importing of sweets, snacks and other confectionary into the region is worth over $24.9 million and despite the global economic situation, the demand is increasing enormously. The demand for chocolate products in particular, has grown significantly.
The Middle East relies on imports for 80% of their food sold in retail outlets, and the clearly constructed distribution channels have ensured that imports are very convenient for new market suppliers, allowing for great opportunities to break into this market.
The show runs from 2 - 4 November 2009 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
