WBS takes legates to top learning destinations

The International Executive Development Programme (IEDP), from Wits Business School (WBS) will explore the businesses and economies in London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore, as part of the month-long programme. This year, it has added executive coaching for each delegate to help delegates apply the knowledge back at work and bridge the gap between the classroom and workplace.

This year's programme will start with a two-week stint in Johannesburg, at WBS, followed by one week at the London Business School (LBS), which has one of the top ranked MBAs in the world. The next stop will be Dubai, which will focus on the rise and fall of the property market. Delegates then move onto Abu Dhabi to visit the MASDAR project, which is the first carbon neutral urban development in the world and the Ferrari theme Park to gain an understanding of the country's approach to encouraging tourism. Finally, Singapore offers an environment in which to learn lessons regarding economic development and effective local government.

"The programme will have a significant impact on delegates as it is an integration of best of local and international management practice. In addition, it will encourage lateral thinking and revitalize delegates to seize opportunities and tackle problems when they return," concludes Conrad Viedge, director of international executive education programmes at WBS.
