Design Indaba launches newspaper, Future Exchange

Design Indaba believes passionately that design and creativity is a driving force behind South Africa's Economy and this is what Future Exchange speaks to.

Design is about improving the quality of life, hence making it very relevant to our emerging nation, and given the developmental priorities of our continent, there should be a campaign to put design on the agenda.

Increasingly there is evidence to show the importance of design to an economy. In a global economy, elegant design is becoming a critical competitive advantage. And Design Indaba's new creative campaign highlights this. It features key designers and their designs on bank notes, emphasising what these have contributed to the economy of a nation based on the design's social, financial, functional and even aesthetic relevance. Design Indaba happens between 22 and 24 February and talks the talk with a sensational line-up of world-renowned speakers from across the globe.
