Community radio station receives funding

The Voice of Tembisa, a community radio station has received substantial funding from the Ekurhuleni Peermont Chambers of Commerce Trust to purchase sound equipment and a mobile studio.

On Wednesday 13 July 2011, Peermont corporate affairs and CSI executive, Vusi Zwane, handed a cheque for R776 000 to Voice of Tembisa FM boss, Sonnyboy Masingi at the radio station. The new equipment will enable the station to broadcast anywhere in Tembisa, fulfilling its goal of being the voice of its community.
