ATM provides access to cash deposits immediately
Nedbank has launched an innovative ATM, known as the Intelligent Depositor, which enables customers to make large cash deposits, with immediate access to the funds, as it operates in real-time. The rollout began yesterday 11 October 2011 at the Sandton City and Cresta Mall branches.
"Clients can now make cash deposits daily, even after traditional hours of banking, helping them save time in long queues. The ATM works in 'real-time', which enables the calculation and authentication of cash notes with ease and immediate withdrawal access. To ensure continuous improvement to our banking experience, we are cognisant that we must continue to innovate to keep abreast with the needs and aspirations of our clients," states Brian Duguid, Nedbank managing executive: retail banking services.
The cash deposit must be linked to the primary account linked to the card and initially this service is available only to the bank's clients. The deposit excludes coins and foreign currency.
