A virtual toast to Jack

Jack has had an official Facebook presence and the signature of those who participate will form part of his official portrait.

In addition, throughout September, participating bars and retailers will be offering people the chance to take part in a range of promotions with prizes to win. Only people of legal drinking age will be allowed to participate in this promotion.

The reason the whole month is used for Jack's birthday is because nobody really knows the exact date Jack was born. Some say he never had a birth certificate, others that it was lost in a fire at the local courthouse. The one thing everyone agrees on, however, is that Jack was born sometime in September 1850, which is why it is celebrated during this month.
