Octanorm celebrates 40 years in exhibitions
The Octanorm System, one of the recognized leaders in exhibition, shop fitting and point of sale industries, celebrates 40 years in the production of re-usable lightweight stand construction systems.
First pioneered and developed by Hans Staeger, founder of Octanorm, he called a press conference on 6 December, 1968 at a makeshift conference room in Germany to launch the revolutionary Octanorm System. To demonstrate the potential of his new system, Staeger actually built the press conference room in his production area using Octanorm components, later dismantling the entire construction in less than an hour to the amazement of the assembled media.
The company was formed in 1969 and today it supplies its extensive product range to over 78 countries on all five continents including South Africa. Today, with its manufacturing capabilities, Octanorm South Africa has been at the forefront of bringing international developments and solutions to the local exhibition market for over 35 years.
