Oasys triumphs at the annual EXSA 2009 Awards

The Exhibition and Event Association of South Africa recently held their annual awards ceremony on 19 November at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. The event was well attended by industry role players and key decision makers. This year the association unveiled a new series of awards aimed specifically at the event industry since the Association extended membership to event management companies last year. Oasys Innovations, a leading supplier of infrastructure to the event and exhibition industry won three of the industry's most coveted awards.

The evening celebrated the achievements of EXSA members during 2009. Oasys Innovations won an award in three categories, namely ‘Top Performers in the Exhibition Industry', ‘Best Exhibitions for 2009' and ‘Best In-House Event'. In the ‘Best In-House Event' category, only entrants who achieved more than 75% for their event won an award. The company walked away with the ‘Best Exhibition Supplier Employee', which went to Ashleigh Masfen; a ‘Best Exhibitions for 2009' award for their Nampak stand at PROPAK and a silver award, an outstanding 79,5% for their customer event held at St. John's College earlier in the year.

Events such as these demonstrate the incredible creative potential in South Africa. The industry has undergone extensive growth and makes a considerable contribution to the economy of the country. With 2010 just around the corner, opportunities for expansion within the event and exhibition sector are abundant. They key is to maximise on these opportunities. I believe that South Africa is yet to realise its full potential, this will happen during and post the 2010 World Cup,” concludes Kennedy.
