The Caledon, Theewaterskloof municipality partners to recycle spa water
The water will be used for treatment and distribution to the residents of Caledon and surrounding areas. The Caledon has invested over R400,000 in the plant and machinery, infrastructure, and ongoing maintenance so far. The water will then be delivered to the purification plant, which TWK municipality has invested in. This particular project has been operational since December and contributes over 328,000 litres per day to the residents of Caledon.
"We are very happy that the resort can play its part in assisting the town in this time of the water crisis and contribute to the water saving efforts. Sometimes a little can go a long way. This is another commitment we have made to empower and give back to our local communities," says Paul Campbell, general manager of The Caledon Hotel Spa and Entertainment.
