Rate Doritos ads, win cash
The closing date for video entries is 24 May 2010 but entries will be rated from Monday 19 April online by members of the public, who also stand a chance to win instant cash prizes by registering on www.15seconds.co.za to rate the advert entries.
How it works
Doritos has made four 15-second television adverts to promote its new Collisions flavours but the ads are only half-finished. All entrants have to do is produce an innovative 15-second ending that cleverly refers to the dual nature of Doritos Collisions. After uploading their video clip to the website, they can make use of social networking tools to promote it.
Film and video students and anyone else with a sharp mind and a creative eye can finish them by adding another 15 seconds of filmed or animated footage and stand in line to share in the R200 000 prize.
Winners to Loeries
Pre-judging will take place from 25 to 28 May and final judging is on 31 May. The four winners, who will be announced on 4 June, will each receive R50 000 in cash. In addition, the best student and non-student submissions will be entered into the Loeries Student Awards, exposure that could provide a valuable kick-start to a career in advertising, design or film.
