The highlight of the campaign, which includes radio and outdoor, are the mobile billboards. Moving away from the traditional billboard execution, Riot has implemented an interactive campaign, using both the billboard and real people to "broadcast" the News24.com message to the target audience.
The campaign is taking newsmakers to the streets of Cape Town and Johannesburg. Characters dressed as famous newsmakers, are travelling with the billboards, which simply state: News24.com "See who's in the news".
"We think that the mix between the moving billboard medium and utilising real live characters to represent international newsmakers, will give the campaign an unusual twist and grab the public's attention", says Simon Andrews, MD of Riot.
