Dial a Nerd, Turrito Networks join forces
25 Oct 2017
"Dial a Nerd was founded in 1998 to cater for the needs of home users who didn't have the time to figure out technology issues. At the time it was essential to portray a non-threatening image of a young company trying to have fun while providing an important service," explains Roberto Caprio, MD. So, the lovable Nerd character was created with this objective in mind, which has been a prominent feature of the brand.
"As time and technology progressed, so has the local market and its requirements. The company has evolved into a mature, professional company able to provide sophisticated and proactive IT support services to SME. While we do not forget our loyal following of home based customers, we also want to illustrate this evolution through a more professional and less cartoonish image."
From having an expansive presence in numerous retail outlets around the country, it has consolidated to several strategic locations from where the company is able to deploy consultants more efficiently. In addition, it has up skilled its technicians to enable them to meet the challenges presented by more demanding business users.
"The majority of our customers have progressively shifted from home users to professionals, educational institutions and medium sized businesses. The new logo reflects our core mission very clearly: today, as when we started, our objective is to simplify technology for those that need to use it," he concludes.
