Avusa launches new media innovation lab

NEWSWATCH: Avusa has launched a new commercial application unity, the iLab, to create online, offline and mobile innovation within the Avusa group, revealed Justin Hartman, iLab digital innovation manager, in his blog this morning, Wednesday, 12 March 2008.

The Cape High Court has granted a provisional sequestration order against fugitive former Heart 104.9 finance manager, Mario Roos, who is believed to have fled the country with his wife Monique, reports IOL. The papers before the court alleged he misappropriated at R7.16 million through the company electronic banking system to his own account.

The entry of three new TV broadcasters in the second half of 2008 is expected to bring boost the sector by between R2 billion and R5 billion, reports the Mail & Guardian Online.

Controversial former Sowetan sub-editor Llewellyn Kriel announced last week on Thought Leader that he will no longer be blogging, thanks to threats against him. “If I can't write in freedom, without fear or favour, I will not write at all,” were some of his last words.
