Adams & Adams contributes to Put Foot Foundation
Adams & Adams has put its best foot forward as a sponsor of the 'Queen Anne's Revenge' crew, participating in the Put Foot Rally, in support of the Put Foot Foundation.
Started in 2011, the Put Foot Rally is hosted by Mountainshak Adventures, a local Cape Town start-up company. The rally attracts people from across the globe to participate in this Southern African social adventure where participants travel in all sorts of wacky and wonderful vehicles on a journey of 8000km in 18 days across South Africa, Namibia, Malawi and Mozambique.
600 pairs of shoes for disadvantaged learners
The Put Foot Rally supports the Put Foot Foundation, amongst other charities. The objective of the foundation is to gift shoes to young, underprivileged learners during the rally. The rally also provides deluxe cars, such as a 1941 Packard and 1935 Bentley, to test their mettle against the rather unpredictable roads of southern Africa - proving that 4x4s are not the only way to travel across Africa, and that the continent is safe and accessible.
"The foundation aims to raise funds for a minimum of 600 pairs of shoes, and to provide donors and Put Foot Rally participants with the opportunity to see and feel first-hand the life-changing experience that gifting a brand new pair of school shoes to a young school child brings," says Nicky Garnett, partner and head of Adams & Adams CSI initiatives.
