FHM needs a girlfriend
FHM is encouraging South African girls, over the age of 18, to send in photos to be judged by a panel of FHM staff, who will choose one girl per issue to take part in a photo-shoot with a top magazine photographer and to have her photos published in the magazine and on the website, as the month's FHM girlfriend.

Says Brendan Cooper, editor of FHM, "We're not searching for wannabe glamour models with glow-in-the-dark orange faces and inflatable boobs, we want to meet the coolest, sexiest girls in South Africa and shoot the very best for the magazine."
The magazine's first girlfriend, Nicky Vertue (19) from Cape Town, features in the July issue of FHM, on sale now. Vertue, who is currently unemployed, says that her father is her hero. What makes her an ideal girlfriend, as she revealed, is that she would not mind a date at McDonalds, as it is the thought that counts, not the venue. She will also join in playing Xbox, and will not mind if her boyfriend spends a night or two out with his buddies, as long as she is entitled to the same.
