Online mapping for South Africa
BrabysMaps, a division of AC Braby (Pty) Ltd, in collaboration with Durban-based technical partner Always Active Technologies (AAT) and the GIS division of Business Connexion, has launched an online mapping system that understands South African user needs.
"We put together a highly usable and technically superior system that produces great results. After extensive testing, we found the response from users overwhelming," said Rob Fisher, MD of Always Active Technologies.
After 18 months of development, the system delivers user-friendly directory and direction search options, an intuitive route-generating application for departure-to-destination routing, embedded directory information on South African business and points of interest, streets and companies searchable by name, easy view and print options, full-screen zoom mode and seven-day weather forecast for most towns in South Africa.
