iDecide launches campaign to reduce unwanted advertising & ''junk'' mail

iDecide has launched the first of three intended websites named iDecline. iDecline is specifically set up to reduce the amount of unwanted advertising mail and "junk" mail that is received every day.

For people who don't want to receive advertising mail, iDecline is promoting the 'Do Not Mail/phone/SMS/email' service at www.idecline.co.za. This free service allows people to opt-out of receiving advertising mail from direct mailers.

The iDecline service gives people the choice to receive advertising mail or not, ". iDecline focuses on and addresses the concerns raised regarding consumer privacy raised in the press last week around the National Address Database and List Rental in South Africa. Marketers realise that some people do not wish to receive direct marketing offers, nor do they want to waste time and money mailing people who don't want to be approached. iDecline;s service applies to post, phone, SMS and email." says van Wyk, director of iDecide.

  2. The iDecline service can also be used by people receiving mail addressed to previous occupants. By entering their names, you can help to stop this mail and reduce paper wastage!

  3. The iDecline service can also be used to register deceased individuals.

Coming soon is 2 other website which form part of the iGroup namely, iUpdate and iDecide.
