    New entertainment company opens

FeelGood Concerts, which launched last week in Johannesburg, aims to stage between three and four concerts every year with A-class international stars to expose South African audiences to the 'wow factor' in world-class concerts and music events.

Its three new directors, Jason Wolverson, Bonnie Robinson and Deonita Damons say they have recognised a gap in the market. Wolverson, entertainment director, has an extensive knowledge of the entertainment/music industry and has been involved in previous projects with David Gresham Records and Sony Music.

    "Complete concert experience"

Robinson, events director, has been in the public relations and events fields for over 10 years with large-scale event coordination and management as her forte. She worked with SAB for many years. She was recently involved in bringing Black Eyed Peas to South Africa as well as ensuring the stage production ran smoothly. Damons is the business mind behind the company.

"Our vision is to host concerts that will provide a complete concert experience, not just the performance," says Wolverson. "If you have experienced a concert overseas you will agree that there is a substantial difference between these international concerts versus concerts staged in South Africa. The sponsors and media partners that we have approached have agreed and recognised this as a gap that needs to be filled."

"Aim to address the needs of everybody"

"We understand that there are various target audiences and that different strokes apply for different folks. We also realise that little has been done to accommodate individuals with physical challenges to attend concerts," says Robinson. "Our aim is to address the needs of everybody and to create unforgettable experiences. We are in the process of finalising negotiations with two of the country's top entertainers to come on board as brand ambassadors."

"We have observed that ticketing is dominated by a major player, so we intend to embrace new ticketing methodology that will cut out the middle man. We believe this will add to a seamless experience when staging events of this magnitude. Let's invest in the skills of staging, sound, camera and costumes to build a quality industry together," concludes Wolverson.
