In addition to Monday’s #AmINext, #SAShutDown and #EnoughIsEnough, citizens further addressed President Cyril Ramaphosa directly through #DearMrPresident on Twitter.

“I am scared. I am hopeless. I amseriously seriously sad,” wrote one user.

With an increasing number of missing women in the country and the mounting unrest following looting in Pretoria and Johannesburg, South Africans are angry and scared.

Despite the tweets and posts across social media platforms, the leader of the country remains silent.
