What does music mean to you?
Music is universal, it’s the lifeblood of the soul, it inspires, informs, it shapes cultures. It’s a frequency that speaks to the world through generations.

Music is universal, it’s the lifeblood of the soul, it inspires, informs, it shapes cultures. It’s a frequency that speaks to the world through generations.
What is the most enjoyable aspect of your work?
Writing, creating melodies, and performing the songs and having people come up to me and tell me how my music has helped them in their lives.
What drives you: ego or humility?
Humility and being grateful to God for having a successful career and work with some of the most incredible artists ever and live my dreams.
Any funny moments on stage?
I was dancing on stage and kicked my shoe off into the audience by mistake and I never got it back. Lol.
Which living person do you admire most and why?
Oprah Winfrey, because she made the most out of an opportunity and giving back to people. Incredible!
What is your most treasured possession?
My dad’s gold Rolex (he passed away and left that to me).
It’s your round what are you drinking?
Green tea! I stopped drinking a few years ago.

Dubb, Kay.
If you were not a musician, what would you do?
A lawyer.

Focus, spiritual, generous, forgiven, forever young.
Your greatest achievement?
Being the first female artist to have three number ones released from my debut album (Guinness Book of World Records).
What do you complain about most often?
People who are procrastinators.
On stage, I tend to?
Lose myself and have an outer body experience while performing (real talk).
Wishes and dreams for 2018?
Going platinum with my movie Gale & The Storm as well as the soundtrack. More live shows, more movies, building my production company, releasing and selling more music with my label in addition to acting roles in television stage and film.
