The DHL WP Faithful campaign, which kicked off in February, called on DHL Stormers supporters to sign up to play for great weekly prizes such as signed jerseys, tickets to the game, exclusive game day experiences etc. The grand prize was one of two trips for two to Australia of New Zealand in 2015 - each time players accumulated 100 points, they would get an entry into the grand prize draw.
Davids received the news early on Wednesday morning and was told to wait at her residence for a special surprise. DHL Stormers Captain Jean De Villiers arrived at her home to fetch her and her husband for a surprise afternoon - a limousine ride to the DHL Express office in Cape Town where a small handover ceremony took place, followed by a celebratory lunch at a nearby hotel.
Charles Brewer, Managing Director for DHL Express sub-Saharan Africa said, "We're very happy to deliver this amazing prize to Alana - the idea behind the campaign is to reward the DHL Stormers and DHL WP supporters in a tangible way, for showing their commitment, passion and dedication to the team and Alana is definitely a worthy winner."
"I would also like to thank the rest of the supporters who took part in the competition. We delivered hundreds of prizes throughout the season, and we look forward to starting all over again when the Currie Cup starts," adds Brewer.
The competition will resume for the Currie Cup season and supporters will have the chance to win great weekly prizes plus the last trip for two to Australia or New Zealand will be up for grabs. The final grand prize winner will be announced at the end of the Currie Cup season so sign up now for your chance to win.
