New SnapComms alerts available in Africa
The internal communication function within organisations continues to challenge communicators, as email proves to be less and less effective as a channel that is overused and often fails to get important messages across, due to overload and overuse.
For this reason, SnapComms offers a solution that bypasses email and provides information direct to employees' desktops in a variety of fully customisable channels. Using SnapComms ensures that internal communication messages are set up so that they recur, or even stay on screen, until employees have seen and acted on the information. This is particularly helpful for updates that need to be read.
Now, to add an additional layer to this functionality, SnapComms has introduced the Urgent and Emergency Alerts option, which provides an additional two alerting modes on top of the standard SnapComms alert mode.
Gauging staff awareness
Importantly, messages and communication can be measured for effectiveness, which provides business and financial decision makers with the ability to monitor readership and gauge whether staff are aware of specific messages and reading materials. It also ensures that communicators can report on who has, or has not, opened the full message and clicked on the links that it contains.
Measurability of this nature affords communicators the opportunity to justify budgets and provides that their efforts in staff communication reach the relevant audiences, which is managed by the use of Active Directories.
People using the SnapComms tool can be easily upgraded to the new Urgent and Emergency Alerts, affording them the choice of three options when setting up critical messages that need to be read by staff:
- Standard - the current/standard behaviour of SnapComms alerts is preserved - alerts will not display over the top of screensavers and applications in full screen mode
- Urgent - alerts will display over the top of screensavers and applications in full screen mode
- Emergency - alerts will display over the top of screensavers and applications in full screen mode, as well as in all other formats. This means staff won't be able to ignore important messages and the company can measure
Future announcements of new developments will be made in due course.
