Wines competed in 13 classes, with between 20 and 30 wines in each class, blind-tasted by the judging panel.
"The inspiration for our Bordeaux blend was to produce a stylish, Cabernet Sauvignon dominant wine from the best Cabernet producing regions in the Western Cape. Our aim was varietal expression, freshness and concentration with elegance and finesse, and in order to achieve this we blended small amounts of Petit Verdot and Malbec to provide additional complexity," comments winemaker Johan Fourie.
