Drugalyzer article withdrawn

The article by the company launching South Africa's first drug analysis equipment has been withdrawn because of concerns about the reliability and legality of the study that they carried out.

The AA of South Africa have said that there is no "in-depth research proving that drug driving was a problem like drunk driving" because there is no body of evidence for this as there is for alcohol.

The legality of administering the test has also been called into question by a local attorney, who has specialised in drug law and policy.
