Lance Coertzen, newly appointed CEO of Primedia Face to Face

Steve Ratlou, executive chairman of Primedia Out of Home says that since Lance joined the company in June 2009, as sales and marketing executive, he has proven his leadership and management abilities.

"He is the type of person who has passion for and a thorough understanding of all aspects of the business coupled with an innovative nature and strong business acumen."

Coertzen has a strong background in the FMCG market, having spent over 15 years in the industry at multi-national organisations including Nestle, Colgate Palmolive and SC Johnson before joining the Primedia group.

"In my opinion my strengths lie in having a thorough understanding of the FMCG market, having a strong strategic direction and full understanding of all aspects of running a business from strategy to marketing to finance as well as operations," he says.

"In terms of where the company is heading, the business offers strategic value to brands in terms of its knowledge of the bottom end. My vision is to maximise this knowledge and enhance our current offering with several innovations which we believe will make a significant impact on the industry and offer long term solutions to brands to enhance their brand equity."
