Radio station, college launch bursary initiative

Good Hope FM and Rosebank College Cape Town have launched its annual bursary competition in the Western Cape, running until 30 January 2009. School learners are invited to prepare an essay to tell DJ Suga and her team why Good Hope FM should broadcast live from their school and stand to win a full year's tuition bursary at Rosebank College Cape Town.

Each entrant must detail their school's community involvement and motivate why they believe they should receive a bursary.

Competition entrants also get to nominate a teacher who has had an impact on their lives and made a difference, who will then be added to the pool to stand a chance to win a bursary for one of Rosebank College School of Business' Short Learning Programmes.

Two Good Hope FM outdoor broadcasts will take place on 4 and 11 February 2009 at the winning entrants' schools and Suga will conduct bursary handovers.

Nominations close on 30 January 2009.

Local residents in the Western Cape can tune into DJ Suga on The Cape Town Shakedown weekdays 9am to 12 noon or go to Rosebank College Cape Town for application details. For more information, contact Bronwyn April at Rosebank College Cape Town on +27 (0)21 425 2084.
