Gearing up for the Rand Show
The 2008 Rand Easter Show was launched on Tuesday 11 March at the Rand Show grounds at the Expo Centre in Nasrec. Members of the media were given a sneak preview of what's on show this year, including the new Disney offerings.
Cater for everyone
The show aims to cater for every member of the family through music concerts sponsored by MTN, the Disney Festival, animal antics in the Pick n Pay Nutriphase Animal Carnival, and the largest exhibition of brands and products in one venue.
“The Rand Show has adapted and changed over its 113 years of existence to constantly bring visitors an event that is current and reflective of the South African society as a whole. The entertainment lineup has undergone a strategic revamp that places the focus firmly on the family and is reflective of the very best talent in South Africa, catering to a diverse range of visitor preference and age groups,” says Cebisa Mfenyana, corporate marketing and communications for Kagiso Exhibition and Events.
“With the consumer focus on home improvements and renovations, the show bodes well particularly for exhibitors of products focused on home improvements and leisure lifestyles.
“On the home lifestyle and leisure side we have by far the largest representation of brands and products in one venue – pools, lapas, furniture, art, home décor, spas, camping gear, appliances and loads more,” says Mfenyana.
