KCM may increase copper exports via Tazara
CHINGOLA: Konkola Copper Mines(KCM) is to consider increasing transportation of copper to the port of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania on the TAZARA railway line, provided that the jointly-owned railway firm delivers on time.
allAfrica.com quotes KCM head of marketing, logistics and concentrate procurement, Amol Mehra as saying that KCM is ready to increase its monthly transportation of cargo through Tazara to 10,000t, as long as the railway firm is consistently able to deliver on time.
Mehra was speaking when the acting TAZARA managing director Damas Ndumbaro met two of the company's major clients, KCM and Impala Warehousing and Logistics in Chingola and Ndola respectively.
