Radio stations, listeners open their hearts

Classic FM will host Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO) patron Cyril Ramaphosa on a live fundraising phone-in programme on Classic FM on Thursday 22 October 2009 from 8pm to 9pm to raise funds for the JPO for 2010. "I am thrilled to be able to host a phone-in radio programme in support of this wonderful, highly skilled and dedicated orchestra of top-notch musicians," says Ramaphosa.

This year's CANSA Night of 1000 Stars gala event on Saturday 24 October 2009 at Sonpark Boulevard has MPowerFM as its media sponsor. Kevin Savage, MD of MPowerFM will be this year's MC and the station will also be hosting two tables (with the proceeds going to CANSA) and giving away double tickets on air to three lucky listeners. Three Cities will be catering for the tables with the food theme being “Spectacular Sosaties.” Guests will be treated to a three-course meal and the winning chefs will receive airtime sponsored by the station, all to show its support of CANSA Lowveld.
