Finesse gets a new look
September 2009 sees the launch of the new-look Finesse magazine. Publishers Carpe Diem Media says it is aiming to set the magazine apart from other women's magazines with a crisp new look and new areas of content.
What is claimed to be a new concept is to have a South African designer create a dress for each cover girl. Each month, readers will stand a chance to win the designer dress by sending an sms to the magazine. The new look September issue features 7de Laan's Amalia Uys in a dress by designer Simon Rademan.
In an effort to become more interactive with their readers, Finesse now pays particular attention to reader trends and has done so by including more ‘real-life' content and reader participation in the question-and-answer sections. A younger tone of voice will be apparent throughout the magazine as well as a vibrant new design.
The re-launch of the magazine coincides with the new season in spring, and the aim is to give readers the change they have been longing for after a drawn-out winter. For 11 years Finesse has aimed at being the ‘feel good' magazine for all women; now it aims to offer more by being crisp, sassy and innovative.
The September issue will be bagging a fridge magnet with a ‘feel good' calendar and will also offer one lucky subscriber a weekend away at the North Coast. For more information go to www.finessemag.co.za.
